Class of 58 and I have many super memories of my school years.  I was devastated to hear of Harry Mackey's passing recently.  He was the best trumpet player I ever heard.  A good friend.  I wasn't able to attend the Reunion in May but was certainly there in spirit.

My mom and dad were in the class of 1941.  They are still alive.  How wonderful it is of you to put this information up on a website.  Thank you.

I'm the last of five Bland brothers to attend Greenbrier. Four of us graduated. I have many memories of my years there, especially with having Mr. Gaudino for Algebra and Principal. Mr. Ward will never be forgotten for his Shakesphere quotes. The reunion forthcoming in May 2010 will be special for me.  (Class of 1951)

I was happy I found my dads picture on here Theodore William Surgeon
class of 1950, Also his picture on the football team 1947.
I just wished he was still here to see it, I know he would have been happy knowing his class in on the internet.

He use to talk so much about his school and class mates and was proud to play on the football team. I am very happy my dad finished high school.
Because back in those days a lot of people did not get an education.

I retired years before he passed away, But worked for the NC Department Of Corrections for 20 some years.
If anyone knowed my dad or went to school with him I would be happy to hear from you.

Thanks and God Bless

I was very excited that I found my mother Rosemary Petro (Class of 1963) on this site.  I am curious to know if anyone knew of her who attended around that time.

I am the daughter of Bonnie Roach Leete who graduated in GHS class of 1960.  Today marks the 5th anniversary of her passing and my heart is heavy from missing her and for some reason I typed her name into Google and was directed her. What a wonderful surprise to see the class picture!  The earliest picture we have of mom was her senior portrait.  I'd love to be contacted if you knew my mom.  I feel she left us way to early and would love to hear any memories you may have of her.

It was a real pleasure to find the class pictures of my father, Harper K. Hellems, in the 1937 class picture and those of my mother, Anne Alexia Wheatley, and my uncle, Edwin Ott, in the 1938 class picture.    Congratulations to those that have and will work on these historical events.

I recognized about 90% of the gang.  There are some real athletes there--Jock Clifford, West Point Center, All American; Paul Morris who never left Ronceverte and played on its famous baseball team; I remember seeing tall lanky JoeSawyer around town and wondering what his name was;  Henry Kaufelt had twin sons who also made the team and Henry married a sweet beautiful teacher, Jane West; My class of '46 had its 60th in '06 but we had shrnk pretty dramatically.  But Frank Bare's daughter, ? who married one of the baseballers, Bob Lomer--her daughter is the present mayor and she is affixing to have ANOTHER ALL SCHOOL REUNION IN 2010!

Thank you for putting this on line.  Do you have a contact address for sending updates.

Class of 1958.  I happened on the site by searching my brothers name----found him in the Class of 1954.  Called and shared the whole site with him.
